Moving #1
Hey guys,

I moved about an hour away from the city I lived in for over a decade and it's been okay. I really miss living there. Thankfully my friends and I drive and we can meet up whenever plus I still go to school in the previous location. It just feels so weird. Idk how to describe it. I love the new home, I like the people, but it's just off somehow. How do I deal with this? I don't think it's sadness or depression creeping. It's nice and it's not at the same time. Idk maybe I just need to rant about nothing basically...

Everything's going to be alright, had the same experience when I was 14
You just need to get used to it.

Found out a family friend moved here recently so I have closer people to hang with so that's nice. I wish the process was faster lol

I have moved more times than I can count, and lost lots of friends many, many times. Honestly, there is nothing for you to worry about. You still go to school in the same location, and can see them in you drive to where they are at. Nothing has changed, it just takes more time for you to interact with them it can feel weird to live in another house after living all your life in the same place, but there is nothing for you to worry about, just try to enjoy every second of the experience.

Moving Into a different area, does take time to adapt to the change. Don't be concerned, you'll be fine after a while.

I did the same many years ago to where I'm currently living, and It took a few months to fully settle.

I've done a hell of a lot of moving myself, and the best advice I can give you is to just keep doing you and being yourself.
New things feel stiff at first, you just need to break it in.
In no time you'll know where everything is, have spots you enjoy going to, and feel comfortable.

Congrats on the move by the way

It's very much the same as starting a new job.

You don't know what to expect with the job Itself, and the people you work with. Over time, you fit In perfectly.

I'd like to thank you guys for your words of encouragement. It has been growing on me. Nearing the end of the semester, I've had lots of interviews and secured a Spring/Summer job for after I'm done finals Smile
