So there's a coffee and tea thread already In place, so I thought I'd make another thread of similar nature regarding milk. Who drinks milk (If not, why), how much do you consume daily and what's your favorite.

I love plain milk without flavoring straight out of the carton. I heat It up until It's piping hot and sip It like coffee/tea.

How about your guys?

We primarily drink it from either plastic gallon jugs, paper cartons or glass containers. I think adding another way of packing milk wouldn't hurt in the USA.

I love milk, Infact I put a tablespoon full of honey in milk and drink it every morning :3

A few days ago I bought some strawberry milk because it was half price but it had a slight sour aftertaste because its best before date was in 3 days.

3 days Is ample time for It's expiration, so If that date was true to It's word, there shouldn't be any distaste experienced.

Given It's a dairy product, In my locality they have a "Use By" date, which obviously means It must be used prior to the stamped date and not consumed after It. "Best before" Is when you can still have It after the date specified. I'm surprised that In your case It's marked as best before. Dairy products (when expired) can make you quite sick.

Yeah, maybe so.

With a 3 day expiration window I'd say It's safe to assume It's not the milk Itself, but as you mentioned, the Ingredient In It. I love strawberries and they can have somewhat of a different aftertaste.

When I come back from the grocery store I often use bags to carry milk, vegetables etc.
