I think masters degree matters mostly when you want to get into academics. Other than that it is not that necessary.

A Master's in InfoSec can help with deeper skills and credibility, but experience and certs matter too. In some places, it might mean better jobs and pay. Depends on your goals and local job scene.

Some companies consider it or even require it. And this is where you can take advantage. Personally, I would focus more on work experience, skills, and relevant projects, which can be more significant. When I chose the master's program, I had more study requirements. It was necessary to avoid cases of plagiarism and, in general, to prepare materials more carefully. Usually for this I used https://gradesfixer.com/plagiarism-checker/, which can quickly scan your papers and show any similarities. Now I see that in real practice, there are not very many bonuses from the master's program. IMHO, a master's degree is essential if you plan to continue your studies and stay in an academic environment.

For many positions in (continental) Europe, it's either a requirement or strongly preferred, although of course this is not universal. I think it matters more than in North America, where it might be seen as more of a bonus.

I am enjoying mine and I think it will benefit me in terms of more advanced positions.
