I think lightx has a good idea with the youtube post.

I think the Thank/Report is more appropriate and better for the forum than like/dislike.

However I think the spoiler function they have in youtube which gets used automatically on posts reported more than once Is a really great feature.

So basically they appear removed unless you want to click on it to reveal the post.

That would be even more beneficial here than it is on youtube I think, you can still read the posts that way and it does save people a lot of time from reading nonsense.

Unlike youtube people come here to learn from posts, so spammers/trolls and kids masquerading as adults that are experts in certain topics offering to teach here or give advice on things they don't actually know about can be really frustrating and time wasting.

I think people should have the option to hide their personal information like age/bio/location or tell the truth, and not be able to give info that is false, because it just results in some lq posters wasting much more of our time than they would be able to otherwise.

I also think it would save the mods quite a bit of time if the posts got automatically spoiler-ed after being reported a couple times or more.

Yeah, I'm closing this since it's some thing I don't have time for currently what with my academic life.

(I will probably get back to it during the summer, but till then let's just say I took a studying to the time (get it instead of arrow to the knee...oh well that joke sucks anyways))
