RE: Massive pruning #21
I think that it would be cool to have a like/dislike thing for all posts. This is like what blue said except if it got too many dislikes, it would automatically get removed (kinda like youtube.)

As with anything to do with people you got "social clicks" so if say it only requires 10 likes, and say (sorry for using you as an example) you have 10 friends, and you hate so and so member, then you and your friends dislike an high quality post.

The reason it's will be implemented, is because almost everyday, we get lq members coming here, post farming tutorials by saying "thanks bro" or some thing like that till they get enough posts to create their own threads anywhere.

So basically, with this implememnted you can ask questions in a thread, but if you say thanks (and even more than once after the warning) then you face almight thors ban hammer. :epic:

Yes, I beleive this would remove some of the spam/post farmers.
Because then if you like a tutorial, you just simply hit a button instead of posting.

The entire point being then to be rid of "spam" on the premise of "post harvesters" so to speak.
I have no personal contention with that truth be told.
Though the only contention I would add is: The Board is designed for interactive communication, which requires commenting.
Merely offering for example a Thank You Button for a tutorial which replaces an individual's ability needlessly limits an individual's ability to also communicate to an Author or Commentator.

RE: Massive pruning #27
@linux, you got the wrong ideal from it. You can still post. It just allows for the ability to just remove posts like that, because it would be very wrong for people to not thank the author.
But be that as it may, lots of people don't even read it, instead it's just an easy "get x amount of posts" thing. So by implementing that button, we can remove people who abuse posts, just so they can post low quality stuff, and people can still ask the author questions.
Example being like if some one posts a tutorial on hacking some one can ask a question "will it work with out so and so program?"

Then you've confirmed what I already suspected.
I'm merely making sure all of the above is clarified for The Reader as a whole.
And as such, Counsel has no further rebuttal on the subject Your Honor.
