Man Scams National Park Car Park 09-09-2012, 08:18 PM

Hey all,
Don't know if anybody knew this but:
A while ago a national trust park, had a car park in one of the biggest parks yet. Had about 300 car parking spaces. A Man , lets call him "Bill" as I'm not sure what the news report said his name was but anyway. Bill worked there for about 25 years. Eventually he mentioned his retirement to the car park users as everybody knew him they wanted to pay a contribution to his retirement. Bill then retired with a nice £350 extra on top of his pension. As Bill was gone many of the Car Park users went to the national trust center/building that was there and asked where do they pay the fee to park in the car park for the day. The receptionist was confused and replied "it is free to park in this car park".
What had happened was "Bill" had been charging everyone who came into the Car Park £5 per day to park there. He did this for 25 years. So when he left, everyone asked where to pay?
The National Trust answered by saying that the car park has always been free, since the national trust park has been open.
LOL LEGEND! Optimal SE/scam right there.
