MMO / RPG Game Design UI - HP / MP Bar #1
Something simple. I have been working on expanding the types of graphic design I do.
This is not made for anything specific. But maybe for something like RPG or MMO or something.

The font is bugging me. Especially the "8" one. Its an inch higher than the "7". Aside from that... The ending of the bars could need some working. It looks awful the way they're cut right now.

Do you have any suggestions for fonts? The little arrows at the end are funky haven't really gotten a feel for making those yet. Something I am confused about right now is what you mean by cutting. The cutting on the HP/MP to the empty part to the right?

Yes, where the two bars end. The way they are cut looks funky. It crashes with the entire "rustic" style that the containers themselves have. As for fonts... Depends on what style you are trying to pull. Medieval would have one font, futuristic another. Hard to tell, as the only thing this design seems to give out is a "rustic" fell which could mean anything.

It does feel kinda flat. I will look into some medieval fonts. Good amount of RPG's/MMO's are set in that era so it should be good.

Well this could easily go for a "Steampunk" feel to it as well.

Maybe since what I have is generic I can add some elements to it of different things later. I never would have though of Steampunk actually. I am about to post another update. Still on the lookout for a nice font I can work with.

Perhaps more "modern" steampunk concepts would be more fitting. It lacks a bit of mechanical in it, but could pass in a Steampunk themed RPGs.

The V4? I was thinking of tossing some car parts and such into it. I might need to look at some games design work to see how they make it work.

Here is a tip, avoid over-complicated shapes. (Such as cars.) Why not try some rusted pipes?
