Lootcrate? #1
How do you guys feel about Lootcrate and similar schemes? I noticed Lootcrate started selling anime, game, and clothing related crates.

Had a relative that stayed subscribed and ended up with a bunch of junk. During the time they were subscribed they gave me a Daredevil/Punisher beanie and a Space Invader figurine. Probably would have paid $10-20 for the beanie alone. August's Lootcrate has Harley Quinn, Kill Bill, and Archer merch so I decided to bite the bullet and see what I get. I'll likely skip future months unless a crate catches my eye.

Lootcrate I think is a cool idea for those who are well into comics/superheros/gaming etc and enjoy having little collectables and stuff, but I don't think I'd enjoy getting new things every month, I'd eventually have no room for it. It's a cool idea, but for me they'd end up in the back of my wardrobe eventually so I'd begin considering it all a waste of money.

Exactly. Some of the stuff they tend to give out is for shows few have actually seen. I figure it's worth getting when you're into the month's theme, but not every month. Tongue

Would love if they supplied these where I live.

I'd probably go overboard though.

@Skullmeat do you get these?

No. I don't like the idea of paying for something when I don't know what it is.

Sounds pretty cool. I would be interested if they did less cringe worthy crates and the price was a little lower for what you get.
I think I'll pick it up for a month and see what I get.

I just signed up this month. I'm excited to see what I get, and I've heard pretty good things.

Funny story about related services: I bought a "mystery box" that had Mogwai from Gremlins in it at Fan Expo Canada last year and Meg Turney signed his ear.

I suppose that's what makes It all the more Interesting.

I wouldn't buy this, but then again I haven't brought anything for a year atleast.
In my eyes, its not worth paying for it unless the items inside add up to be equal to or more than the cost of the box.
My brother had Lootcrate for a few months, but had to stop because it was just too expensive and the items inside were not worth much.
