Stranger Things was amazing, loved that show.

Can't believe no one has said Black Mirror or Narcos yet!

Black Mirror

The show looks inwards, at the darker aspects of humanity and society. This is done through the theme of technology, hence the second meaning. The black mirror is the screen that rules our lives. Taking contemporary phenomena (ranging from the wild popularity of talent shows on TV to the impact of social media and smartphones on our lives) as a starting point and speculate how such phenomena could/would evolve in the future. Each episode tells a different story with different protagonists and focuses on a different theme.

So, basically the modern Twilight Zone. This one gets reaaaaallly dark though. An I mean like, hella dark. Don't watch it if you're not prepared for that kind of thing.
I mean, there are lighter episodes, but some episodes are just like "Holy. Shit. I can't believe that just happened"

Narcos

Narcos tells the true-life story of the growth and spread of cocaine drug cartels across the globe and attendant efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. It centers around the notorious Colombian cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) and Steve Murphy (Holbrook), a DEA agent sent to Colombia on a U.S. mission to capture and ultimately kill him.

A really well-made T.V show and crazy good too. Can't recommend it enough. I'm about halfway through season two and it's awesome.
