People love life because it has things for people to look forward to, death doesn't.

This is just a general understanding though, I personally cannot wait until I die. Death is a good thing for me because the only thing that dies when you bite the dust is your ego, which is good. I don't know exactly where your consciousness goes when you die but I'm just assuming that you move on to another plane of existence.
