[Legion Leak] Basic Anti Dox #1
This post is leaked from the premium section of "Legion" on the competing hack forum. There will be 5 new leaks a day. There may be some format problems due to UTF8 character encoding.

I originally created this thread on another forum under the alias '-Tourqe-', if you see me or that guide, feel free to PM me for confirmation that it is indeed me.

Introduction

In this guide, I'll be running through some basic tips to secure yourself from a dox. These tips, when followed, are not going to make you 100% undoxable, you will still have to use common sense and apply further methods if you're looking to wipe your true identity from the web forever.

Tips

Here we go! Here are my tips:

Always alternate the times you log on at. If you log on at 3:15pm GMT when school ends, people are going to be able to build up a profile on you quite easily. They'll know roughly in which country you live, and that you're still in school. Try to log in at random times. Maybe log in for a few minutes at school, before school, a couple hours after school (same applies for work, college etc).

Never use your first name as a tagline. Although this is used a lot as a way to bond with others online, when a doxer has your first name it can greatly narrow down the results to find you. If you must, then at least use a fake name.

Do not link photos from Facebook. Although some think this is fine, the profile ID of a facebook user can be unveiled quite easily from a facebook link.

Do not use your real email / school on Facebook. Both of these can be used to find out who you are instantly.

Always use fake information or purchase whois protection when purchasing a domain. When I doxed Operate from HF, it was simply a matter of looking up his email on who.is and cross referencing it with the email he used to sign up for diverebox.

Never, EVER EVER EVER post your legitimate phone number for any service at all online. A phone number can be used to contact you directly, and contains an area code that can be used to narrow down your search.

Never post your true address anywhere online. I suggest that you purchase a P.O box to use to receive parcels from Amazon / e-bay etc. A P.O box serves just like a mail box, but is located elsewhere and cannot be used to get your exact address.

Always stick with one alias. One e-alias is easy to find and delete old information that may reveal who you are. If you switch aliases often, if you ever need to go back and remove possibly sensitive information, it will be nearly impossible.

Run scans with anti-virus softwares often. I suggest Malwarebytes Anti Malware Pro for scans. If you'd like a pro serial key that works and is 100% free of charge, send me a private message.

Never use real PayPal information. When a transaction is sent to a PayPal account, all of the receiver's information is displayed. Doxers like to send $0.1c to emails they find associated with you, and use the information from the PayPal transaction to narrow you down.

Release your own dox. Obviously, not a real one, but creating fake information and releasing it can usually lead doxers astray and put them off wanting to dox you. Instead of saying that you're releasing your own dox, make it look like someone has doxed you.

Thank you for reading my guide. I will update this with other tips as I see fit.

The irony that I was the one that wrote this guide and was then doxed a few days later by you astounds me.

I was an admin on a forum called Diversebox (not sure if anyone's told you all the drama there, lol), Oni hacked it, jacked the owner's Skype and then Bresh and I had an argument. Up until then my alias hadn't hit a ditch, Bresh took all of 10 minutes to dox me and now I have him and some other SL members on Facebook :')

We're all friends, though.

It happens to a lot of people here. It isn't so much an act of hostility as it is an act of curiosity. I guess people feel closer when they know more about each other. My information was posted once too, although it took the person forever to do it (and I had given them a large portion of the information).

Nothing negative has happened as a result of the information, asides from a few amusing phone calls.

Oh yeah. I should clarify, even when I was being an ass and Bresh had my info, nothing harmful was done with it. I wasn't negatively affected in any way at all, and all I really did was gain friends from it Smile

This guide is seriously the most retarded thing I've ever seen.
It's all common sense, but come on. Time zones? Unless you're nachash, time zones aren't something you worry about.

The key to not getting doxed lies not in any of these measures, but having a complete fake identity that leaks through just enough to get tracked down by the more motivated attackers.

This.
In my case, I used the alias "Devin Steadman" (as my first name, Devin, is confirmed due to my mom raging on mic).

When I was in an argument with Sequel & Erebus, they pwned the living shit out of poor ol' Devin Steadman.
This worked hugely in my favour as many people still attempt to link Devin Steadman to me today.

For those who are curious, here's the result of them "doxing" me.
