Legends of Eisenwald

Another Indie share to start my morning, this nifty little game is based on Turn Strategy.

It's honestly a really nice game, a lot of different options, a lot more info in the quote below.

So, hey everybody, we’re sitting here scoping out today’s sale on Legends of Eisenwald, and it’s got us wondering: how come “adventurer” isn’t a real job? Like, we get that it’s 2016 and everything, and that knights and maidens and stuff aren’t really all that common anymore IRL, but how amazing would it be to be able to stroll into your local pub and find like five or six buff dudes (or dudettes) in armor who’ll do anything you need them to? Extremely, that’s how amazing.
Just like in the game, these warriors could just travel the land, doing quests, hiring muscle, making important choices, and being tactical enough to come out of a fight relatively unscathed. Maybe they’d even have an app like Uber, so you could easily find one in your area, and so they can keep a handle on all the different side quests they’ve accepted. Can you tell we’ve spent some time thinking about this?
The only thing that’s really got us tripped up still is what kind of jobs we’d actually have these adventurers do, since killing pretty much anything is illegal these days and magical artifacts are super hard to come by. But then we realized that maybe we have to just swallow our pride a little bit, you know? Every game has that simple quest early on that’s like, “deliver this package to this wise wizard”, and even though it’s not as sexy as needing a princess rescued or stopping the apocalypse, we bet there’s a lot of people out there who’d love to have an app on their phone where they can order things and then have them delivered...oh my god we just invented Amazon.com. Nevermind.
