Just like in the game, these warriors could just travel the land, doing quests, hiring muscle, making important choices, and being tactical enough to come out of a fight relatively unscathed. Maybe they’d even have an app like Uber, so you could easily find one in your area, and so they can keep a handle on all the different side quests they’ve accepted. Can you tell we’ve spent some time thinking about this?
The only thing that’s really got us tripped up still is what kind of jobs we’d actually have these adventurers do, since killing pretty much anything is illegal these days and magical artifacts are super hard to come by. But then we realized that maybe we have to just swallow our pride a little bit, you know? Every game has that simple quest early on that’s like, “deliver this package to this wise wizard”, and even though it’s not as sexy as needing a princess rescued or stopping the apocalypse, we bet there’s a lot of people out there who’d love to have an app on their phone where they can order things and then have them delivered...oh my god we just invented Amazon.com. Nevermind.
