Quote:Actually you cannot say that as animals do communicate with each other just not with language as humans do but with sounds. Also god spoke through man to have the bible written. Today it isn't written exactly as it was back when but it's as close as it can get.

By definition, speaking is to "Make (a sound) with one's voice". Firstly, you cannot 'speak' through someone. It's not physically possible. But this is going to get all too technical and we're not addressing the message I really wanted to convey.

Quote:Energy is nothing without something to release / apply it. Energy cannot create substances either without there being the presence of something else.

That's not true. You're still missing the point. What I said is that energy is the answer to the chain of questions, "what came before that". Some call it god or a deity, I call it energy since I believe in the scientific explanation. But this isn't really important. Have you a reply to this?

Quote:Yeah, we all know something beyond our comprehension initiated everything, but why do we need to align with Christian values to have this belief? Why can't Christians just leave it as, "we don't know"? Why must you make up books and rules and sins and contradictions and fictional characters and story lines to have such a belief?

Why would the "truth" change? If the words were real why have them changed? It Is no longer true then?
Not sure what you mean about "truth changing". Some of the words of the English bible are off from the original copies written in Hebrew and etc. Unfortunately I'm off to bed now and may or may not continue this debate in the morning. Have a good one guys. Smile

I wasn't talking about the translations. I am talking about the literal change. Example when they changed "Though Shall Not Murder" to "Though Shall Not Kill"

Though it might look meaningless it has a world of meaning behind it.

Indeed. "Though shall not murder" is almost completely inline with the Satanic perspective on carnal needs as a human. "Though shall not kill" - that's a completely different story altogether. We kill all the time. We kill people for self defence at times. We accidentally kill people all the time. Should we go to hell now since we killed someone whereas before we would only go to hell for instigating aggression through murder?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

It hasn't been really proven, It's just a theory. Let's imagine a situation that one of the thieves is you and you know that the son of God is beside you suffering. Would you still stand up to your pride in exchange of eternal suffering? Or would you rather repent and have a wonderful life in a wonderful place?

Hidden Lesson: Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.

I just lost respect for you. You can't just blatantly say that in the middle of a debate. You have to speak with integrity, provide facts, and add some opinion. Yours is all opinion.

You shall not murder sometimes translated as You shall not kill, KJV Thou shalt not kill (LXX οὐ φονΡύσΡις, translating Hebrew לֹא ΧͺΦ΄ΦΌΧ¨Φ°Χ¦ΦΈΧ— lo tirαΉ£aαΈ₯), is a moral imperative included as one of the Ten Commandments. People get the words Kill and Murder confused all the time.
Murder:
Spoiler:
Murder is the unlawful killing, with malice aforethought, of another human, and generally this premeditated state of mind distinguishes murder from other forms of unlawful homicide (such as manslaughter). A person who commits murder is called a murderer.

Killing:
Spoiler:
Murder; homicide.
Intended or apt to kill; fatal.
causing death; fatal
the act of causing death; slaying

Many people interpret the word killing with murder. They are two similar words but murder is limited to human. Still as always when someone is murdered we still say killed most of the time.

I'd probably help anyone if they were suffering.

That's exactly my point. Murder and man slaughter are completely different things.
