I'd say this goes for pretty much any MOBA, especially for ranked play. Friend got me to play Smite and it's roughly the same.

My friends and I recently started playing lol. At first it was very difficult. We often met smurfs of professional players. This greatly prevented us from playing comfortably. I often watched guides, tried to somehow improve my skills. One of the guides talked about the LolFinity service and I decided to try it. On the site I have acquired an excellent account with level 35. Since there are very few smurfs at this level, it has become much easier to play. Also, the account had several cool skins. I hope you will also use this service in the future and it will help you.

I used to play Syndra mid and Draven adc.
I used to kill every game and get like 30 kills.
But since i have no friends to play with, it was impossible for some reason to rank up.
It ended with me having wasted 1000H, six years on the game,
and being the lowest rank in the entire game, bronze V.
also every game everyone mocked me and told me to quit the game.
so i did. never touched that game ever since and never will.

MOBA communities have always been the best at sabotaging themselves. Rather than help the weaker players become better, they make them quit. I still play League occasionally, but not competitive.

It's such a shame. It's a cracking game, nice graphics, great gameplay... but the people who play it are so nasty. They teach any resilient new players to be just as nasty too, so it's a viscous cycle.
