Katana 3.0 Beta 08-22-2012, 01:57 AM
#1
Quote:Katana is a portable multi-boot security suite which brings together many of today's best security distributions and portable applications to run off a single Flash Drive. It includes distributions which focus on Pen-Testing, Auditing, Forensics, System Recovery, Network Analysis, and Malware Removal. Katana also comes with over 100 portable Windows applications; such as Wireshark, Metasploit, NMAP, Cain & Abel, and many more.
Unfortunately, the only official version is
Katana 2.0. There was, however, the
Katana 3.0 Beta version which was released at Defcon a little while back. Lucky for you guys, I have found a set of torrents for the Katana 3.0 Beta version. Even though the official 3.0 version will be released in the next few months, most of you will find downloading it worthwhile.
Here is an article about the Beta.
Here is a link to download torrent files for the Beta. You need both torrents.
Below are the MD5s of the files, as shown in the picture from their booth at Defcon:
katana-v3.0-beta-1.zip - 0752763067e5c1eba3707c5356ccd567
katana-v3.0-beta-2.zip - ebc0c0279a0b4095f28dfd4121cebf40
README.txt - 9a28941d0845481338876d83880cd356
It is highly recommended you check the MD5s, to make sure the files haven't been tampered with!

I have verified the MD5 checksum and scanned the files with Malwarebytes. The file is from a fairly trustworthy source, but I would still check it a bit more if I were you.

A few people are seeding still, it's a great piece of software to carry if you're too lazy to download each thing individually.

Never am lazy for something that may benefit me.
