John McAfee Found Dead In Jail Cell Hours Before Extradition

It hasn't yet been confirmed what killed McAfee, but investigators right now say that all signs point to suicide. McAfee's death happened just hours before he was set to be extradited to the U.S. on tax evasion charges.

Guards at the Brians 2 penitentiary found McAfee unresponsive, and the jail's medical team certified his death, according to a statement from the regional Catalan government.

McAfee's lawyer told Reuters that the 75-year-old hanged himself in his cell.

Queue conspiracy theories - now. By the way, McAfee probably had no other option. He knew he was too old to be extradited and thus questioned on US soil. When you are taken by the government you forfeit all possessions to the US. Let's not ask the questions "who" or "why", but let's ask "what" he left to his family. He might have left some information that he didn't want falling into the wrong hands, or maybe it was an ultimatum offered by the government. Either way, I don't believe that he did it willingly nor do I believe there wasn't video surveillance in the cell. There's always some sort of camera watching you, from typical jails to max security containment. But another burning question lingers now - who is next?

RIP. It's likely he left what he had to other people. Always found his antics entertaining, especially when he said he'd eat his own dick if BTC didn't hit $1M.

LMFAO he couldn't handle the popups. The only time I had that Anti-Virus was when I had my 2016 toshiba laptop. Instead of helping me, it kept increasing my malware count.

We're talking about the man not the company or software. They are completely separate entities and in no way involved with each other. McAfee regularly swore on their names to this end. Also, he promised he was content in jail, that's why his death is suspicious to most.
