The only time I had that Anti-Virus was when I had my 2016 toshiba laptop. Instead of helping me, it kept increasing my malware count.

It's one of the worst AVs I've had the displeasure of using.

Perhaps the cause of death was a cardiac arrest after reading feedback from end users.

Dude's not been involved with that AV company since 1994 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McAfee).

We're talking about the man not the company or software. They are completely separate entities and in no way involved with each other. McAfee regularly swore on their names to this end. Also, he promised he was content in jail, that's why his death is suspicious to most.

It's a rabbit hole, for sure. Hopefully the hypothetical trove gets released. I can also see him saying all this just to piss on the USG, regardless of if it actually exists.

People wanting him dead is a very real possibility. No doubt he's made questionable decisions and dealt with some bizarre types. He originally sold his shares for the anti-virus in 1994, for $100 million. At the time of his death he was only worth about $4 million. Even the most expensive cocaine habit wouldn't put a dent in that amount of money. It's also possible he said that stuff just to spite the USG, if he ever did decide to fold his cards.

From an external standpoint, Mr McAfee may seem like he was one of the most sweetest and caring Individuals. However his personal affairs, may have released some nasty skeletons In his closet that ultimately led to his demise/death.

That's the first thing I thought when reading the news. One last conspiracy theory by committing suicide, doesn't sound too crazy coming from this guy
