January Sales Purchases? #1
Has anyone bought anything that was on sale this January/post-Christmas period? I recently purchased a laptop, which had a small discount thanks to the sales. But, I very rarely take good advantage of these sales. There's so much on offer right now, from tech to general household items or clothes.

Has anyone found any epic deals they made a purchase on?

Nice purchase, congrats. Are you happy with Its overall usage and performance?

In terms of myself, I usually purchase goods In-store, namely on Boxing Day. In my locality, stores try and get rid of Christmas surplus stock, hence there are huge discounts- some at 60% off retail cost.

In all honesty, I haven't really pushed to see what it can do. However, I'm so pleased with it thus far. I'm actually baffled how such a small/slim device holds as much power as it does, and somehow it is really keeping cool. I can't complain.

I'd love to be able to go into retail stores right now. I mostly need some new clothes, and would love to jump on the January sales, but it's stuff I'd really need to try on in store. The UK just isn't ready to open up yet. (I've not even had a haircut since March 2020 lol)

Good to read. Nowadays, laptops remain very cool under normal/light usage.

Long gone are the days of CPUs screaming when the PC was on Idle.

My goodness, that's almost a year without a haircut. I'd say yours Is longer than mine.

I always have mine In a ponytail, which Is almost halfway down my back. To help avoid split ends, my friend trims a couple of centimeters from the bottom every month.

I think I also became accustomed to using a 7 year old laptop with overheating issues. If I was capable of confidently cleaning laptops without breaking them, I would, but I'd rather pay someone who knows what they are doing xD

Mine is so long I'm pretty close to being able to sit on it. However, I've always had very long hair. Unfortunately, my household isn't full of people who can cut straight. I have done several of their haircuts, though. We have a great rotary razer for men's hair, and I'm handy with a pair of scissors.

It's nice you have a friend who can do that. I never pictured you with long hair before. haha

Yes, until a new laptop Is purchased without performance or overheating Issues, you tend to not realize how bad the old one was.

Your hair Is a lot longer than mine and If the COVID-19 situation continues, It'll be down to your ankles (so to speak).

My friend only trims one or two centimeters off the bottom and nothing else. I wear It In a ponytail especially at night, because otherwise It gets caught underneath my shoulders and wakes me up when I try and move my head In another direction.

I know the feeling! xD
I think mine is as long as it will grow now. It's been this length for a very long time. The ends just get a little more frayed over time instead.
