I was browsing hackernews and I stumbled upon this article talking about jailbreaking iPhones.
Because I wasn't aware of any IOS exploits, this seemed interesting to me and decided to share it as well.
So, this is an open-source jailbraking tool made by axi0mX meant for researchers. However, you can use it for whatever you like.
Some of it's features:

• Permanent unpatchable bootrom exploit for hundreds of millions of iOS devices
  
• Allows dumping SecureROM, decrypting keybags for iOS firmware, and demoting device for JTAG
  
• Full jailbreak with Cydia on latest iOS version is possible, but requires additional work
  
• Pwned DFU Mode with steaks4uce exploit for S5L8720 devices.
  
• Encrypt or decrypt hex data on a connected device in pwned DFU Mode using its GID or UID key.
  
• And much more

I have been watching this closely since the day it was released and there's a few small things you left out that I would like to include here so the SL family doesn't have to go to an external website for everything.

You can dual boot into Android. or custom firmware's.
You can change the boot logo as well (yes I am aware you can typically do that with a jailbreak tweak, but I believe you are able to do it without having to have a tweak installed).
Boot into verbose mode.

iOS devices that are affected by Checkm8:

• iPhone 4s
  
• iPhone 5/5c/5s
  
• iPhone 6/6+/6s/6s+
  
• iPhone SE
  
• iPhone 7/7+
  
• iPhone 8/8+
  
• iPhone X
  

iOS devices not affected:

• iPhone Xr
  
• iPhone Xs/Xs Max
  
• iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Pro Max
  

Other Apple devices affetced:

• iPads from the 2 up to the 7th generation
  
• iPad Mini 2 and 3
  
• iPad Air 1st and 2nd generation
  
• iPad Pro 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch 2nd generation
