If you set your mind to it, I'm sure it'll become a big forum. However I think perhaps we should close registration when we reach a large amount of users active in like 5 minutes, like 300+ members(not guests) online in the past 5 minutes. That's when I think registration should be closed or be invitation only.

Or perhaps applications and there could be a specific group to go through them.
However, that's still a long way away as of now.

It depends on the dedication of Discussion Zone's members, and the uniqueness of the forum, of course. No member is going to want to join a forum where all of the previous members are inactive and don't post. Also, they aren't going to register an account on a generic website.

There is the possibility of Discussion Zone becoming a large forum, as long as our members refer their buddies and help advertise. Blueish can't continue to afford for sticky on HackForums every week ($50.00); we need to begin to obtain organic traffic, as mentioned by CryptoX in this thread.

So far we're doing good. If we continue to sustain this sort of activity, we could eventually see ourselves as one of the biggest general boards on MyBB.

It's both possible and not possible (not impossible). This is how. It is possible because if you looked at the post rate per day or even week you would see not many general discussion forums hit so much posts these days, luckily Discussion Zone is whizzing past them. It is also impossible if you know a host dead, inactivity, hacked.. etc. But seeing the post-rate my head has flewn off. It is certainly possible at the moment.

With the amount of effort I am putting into Discussion Zone I can assure you it won't die anytime soon. I'm spending lots of money and time into advertising and much more. Most of my work is behind the scenes. Users don't realize the amount of time I spend optimizing, tweaking etc Discussion Zone.

Once everyone's nameservers have updated and are browsing Discussion Zone happily and the new custom theme is applied. I plan to purchase a SEO service which will boost our organic traffic massively. Then users will hopefully stream through!

I can promise everyone I will not give-up on Discussion Zone!
