I’ve heard the only currency that is totally anonymous & untraceable by Law Enforcement agencies is Monero......

From what i've come to understand it's entirely untraceable UNLESS it's in an event where FBI or other federal agencies are involved.

Even then, it's still mostly untraceable.

Not bitcoin is easily tracable via blockchain explorers, theres privacy coins like Zcash and Monero which are untracable.

Fair. I figured BTC was still untraceable.

So the only currency that is totally untraceable is Monero ?

Why do people keep on spamming the anonymity of BTC if it’s not true ???

Well it is still totally anonymous. On an explorer such as this one, you can only view the hashes of the transactions. No information, like your IP address or name are actually shown. The deepest you can go is a users transaction history.

It is traceable. Tracing is actually how bitcoin works. You buy something with it, and the bitcoin is sent to the sellers wallet publicly. You might not be able to immediately find someones identity, but it is definitely traceable. Here is a youtube video that shows how you can trace it yourself:

A book I recommend is "The Art of Invisibility" by Kevin Mitnick. It will teach you a lot
Here is a pdf if you are interested though I recommend buying the book to support the author

This is a good idea if you want anonymity. Keep in mind to only use trusted mixers with good reputations, and that you will be paying a premium price for the service as well. It is worth it if you need the privacy, but be aware.
