Do you think with so many users and so much data overload, the internet will collapse one day?

Global collapse is doubtful, but definitely I have experienced internet shutdown for sometime may be like for a half-day or so.

No doubt Its capacity Increases by the second.
If It were to shutdown, the entire globe will come to a standstill.

With progress in technology happening everyday, I very much doubt about the failure of internet. It will be a disaster if such an outage happens. Work will come to standstill. Billions will be lost. Strange, how the world has become so much dependant on the internet.

I think we are becoming entirely dependent on the internet, but I don’t think it will come to a halt because of the amount we are consuming. Every day we are building stronger bandwidths

As use increases, so does the scalability. Things like IPV6 were made in recognition of limitations, and I'm sure other aspects have the same level of hindsight.

At the point that our technology is at right now, the only thing that could bring the internet to a halt, would be an apocalypse. The internet isn't one entity, it's a collection of billions of servers, websites, images, and plaintext. Servers may go down on occasion, but if they are consistently monitored, they'll be back up within hours. I find the idea of the entire internet going down, very unlikely.

Users are increasing day by day and the technology is also getting updated and everybody is dependent on internet. Cannot imagine about global shutdown.

The world is so much dependant on the internet that I am sure our providers are continuously updating it to prevent any malfunction which can result in a huge monetory loss. Outages can occur which will be rectified as soon as detected. But complete shutdown will mean doomsday and I do not think such a scenario is likely.
