Running the forum for almost 7 years, I know the feeling all too well. While there's a few people that have been around the majority of the ride, people come and go. Relationships will always ebb and flow, especially in real life. When I was younger, I moved around a lot, and changed schools every 2 years. It was much the same and there's only a handful of people I still speak to from 7 years ago. It's best to value your relationships in the present, but it's fine to recognize/remember relationships of the past.

Are online friends real friends? I very much doubt so. Even the physical friends or colleagues with whom we have personal or professional relationship will vanish if you don't keep in contact with them for sometime. I certainly don't believe online friendship can last long.
