There may be certain individuals who wish to contain other individuals who do not follow another persons' preference of lifestyle, although, they don't always succeed nor does their success necessitate following said laws.

Negative consequences seem to be applicable when certain individuals wish to limit one's freedom and use certain methods to do so. However, those individuals are not always successful and consequences might not always be negative. However, the definition of negative can be defined in many different perspective and many individuals have their own conception of what negative is. Perhaps prison time for some individuals (if that is indeed the sort of "negativity" you're referencing to) is actually a beneficial period of time in which those individuals might be able to reconcile and think about why their in there.

I never said they are universal, I said that they existed, and I never said that they are 'objectively determined' (which is impossible) by an omnipotent designer. You are right in that consequences are subjective so technically using negative in an objective sense was wrong.
