I would suggest creating a new award for those who report constantly post/behaviours that are against the rules. This might improve the number of users that report post (that they do so in order to try achieving the award) thus improve the quality of the moderation and decrease the cases of behaviours against the rules not handled.

A sort of "sentinel of the forum".

The majority of reports received are Inaccurate as It Is, thus time-consuming to filter each one and decide on the appropriate action. Don't want to add to this If members report posts solely for the award.

Of course, you should punish who abuse the report button, but in general, the idea is:

more report from users = fastly is the issue response from a staff member.

Staff hasn't more than 2 eyes to watch everything. (unless you're a bot)

I'm referring to common sense and good judgement, and not the availability of options.

If unsure what to select, simply choose "Other" via the drop-down menu In the Report feature.

I like this idea. It definitely gives an incentive for thoroughly reporting and moderating the content posted here. Unfortunately there are only a couple of staff members so there is a lot being missed. If users abuse this, give them an account warning for a small amount of time and then if continued to be abused, ban them.

Might implement this. Initially we didn't add this because it might encourage "mini-modding", but people have been pretty good about it.

Right now we're working on user-owned awards, which @"demonboy" had suggested to me.
