If there was a built in feature to AutoBump without having to post, this wouldn't be an issue.
EDIT: It also doesn't help there are 2 separate Marketplace subsections, forcing me to make 2 threads and bump both. If these were combined it would eliminate the need to double down on my thread bumps.

Why would you post in both? There's a specific reason for the two marketplaces, there shouldn't be any need to post the same content across both.

Personally, I believe this forum is not a marketplace. We have a section for it, but it's not our primary purpose. We're here for discussion, so autobumps would go against that purpose. It's the sellers choice to bump their threads, we're not here to do that for them. However! We do offer paid stickies and advertising slots if someone is looking for a boost. It's not offered for free, though.

I don’t think @Oni would agree considering there are paid ranks and an award for users who use the marketplace consistently.

Anyone who has access to the premium marketplace, has access to regular. Please do not post in both for the same content. Otherwise, what's the point in having a premium section if you're going to fill it with stuff that's already available to members that didn't invest in upgrades? There's been a lot of frustration from members over the amount of thread bumps flooding the front page, so it's worth keeping that in mind.

I understand, but that doesn't make it the primary purpose of the whole site. It's something our members are interested in, but it's a forum, not strictly just a marketplace site. This means we need to accommodate for members who use the marketplaces, and those who don't. Often, those two groups will have different preferences so it's difficult to please both. To clarify, my belief that discussion is the primary purpose, doesn't mean that members who use the marketplace should be ignored. They are just as important.

On the subject of Oni agreeing with me or not, I've heard him say similar words to my own in the past. However, you're right, there are people who upgrade for access to the Premium section and they shouldn't be ignored.

Forgive me, I should have clarified better. I meant it's not SOLELY a marketplace, which means there is an audience outside the sellers and buyers.

We wouldn't be offering those services if people didn't want them, and there has been plenty of interest. It's not for everyone, but I wanted to make sure people knew about it in case that was useful! It's the most effective way of getting exposure, which is to be expected as it's a paid service.

Beyond wanting to hear from more of our members on this topic, I'm not sure I have much more to offer. But, if anyone has any questions I'm happy to help.
