[IDEA]More wifi range ? #1
i have two wireless antennas:

Spoiler: One

Spoiler: Two

and i want to combine them for more range, my idea was to put them like

Spoiler: this

Anyone know if this will extend or reduce the range; before i start thinking about the assembly? will the antenna be damaged for massive radio concentration ?

I don't quite think the engineering or mechanics of that are going to work quite along the mathematics you're hoping they will.
Both being differing varieties of wireless antennae.
Also, if the original manufactures of that equipment had designed both with that exactly in mind, logic dictates both would've come as a single unit versus 2 separate units.

Maybe original manufactures don't want to make it this way because it will be so perfect and demand on all other equipment will decrease, so they don't make a 'perfect' antenna to keep selling other types. :epic:

I don't think you would be able to do that, You can buy a Signal Booster or a Range Extender for that purpose. Have a look at here http://www.tp-link.dk/products/?categoryid=1247

Theoretically it sounds feasible.
Technically and realistically, not very feasible with the results you're hoping for.
I'd second EX094's advice accordingly.

P.S.-Maybe said original equipment manufacturers already tried that method before facepalming themselves.

my home network is fine, covered all areas, i'm looking for outdoor long range signals, the grid that i have is doing a really good job, but as my human nature, i need to explore and try new things for better range.
i want to find the limit Wink

Thanks for your suggestions though Confusedmiling:

That's rubbish. Any new competitor in the market would've released such product if it were any successful.
