Ive just copied that bit of code you put up excluding the date and time at the start and put it in google and theres quite a few of them from other people getting the same some get it when using openvpn, even this thread of yours is on there, so its defo not just you its happening to.

Yea seen them, and over Christmas I went to family's places. They have Sky and I got the Sky site block pages despite on vpn+dns crypt. Idk it's all fucky over here. So it's the same sorta thing I imagine.

i use an openvpn setup and get these only when i browse one specific site
am fine with torrents and DL's though
i think its just having to many slow connections at the same time
try enabling 'only' encrypted connections as they require a full tcp connection and lowering the max peers per torrent

So it got a little worse, as in I think some new tech might have been handed out to ISPs in the UK. Still get shit torrent speeds and stuff like that how ever even off a VPN, SSL connections that are not liked, i.e blocked sites, are killed (again didn't happen on old router, only on new one). But I went to family's place over Christmas and there even on the VPN sites where being blocked, they have Sky I have Virgin, I ended up using Tor + VPN to get my dad the Grand Tour.

It's all fucky right now. I've stopped doing anything questionable so money is tight, I've got a week off after tomorrow so I'm going to start testing and looking in to this a bit more.

When you say that behaviour stops, it doesn't seem to be targeted in any way. Just mass "features" of the hardware they dish out.

I'm going to get virgin business, apparently there is no virgin router involved in it, just some off the shelf stock thing. I also imagine I will be able to convince them I need an after market router. On residential you just can't really at all.

Yea, my ISP does this too, sometimes if I watch a movie on a site that doesn't use DRM (ie. the movie is being steamed via MP4 or something) I will get a letter in the mail saying if I don't stop downloading illegal/copyrighted content I will get a fine. One time I even got a letter that said I had to pay $1,200 because they detected things being torrented. I had to call them and explain I had a free WiFi hotspot and that the connection was for a business and therefor they couldn't legally charge me the fine since my business wasn't responsible for the downloaded content on our public hotspot.

To get around the torrent throttling I started using port 443 for torrents. Still doesn't make me happy since they can see what port it is, even though that's for the vpn to sort out. idk.

rip whatever firmware is on the router right the fuck off, throw on DD-WRT or tomato if its not compatible and set up IP tables to run through proxies with a kill switch. There. No more ISP problems
