This is a cool website, whoever came up with the idea to have something like this is a genius.

You’ve probably read dozens of paragraphs on how the next great theater of war will be online rather than offline, and how China and the US are already battling each other for cyber supremacy. The truth is, though, unless you’ve actually been hacked, it’s hard to appreciate just how real the prospect of cyberwar actually is; after all, the effects of hacking are mostly invisible to the untrained eye, with the exception of very-high-profile database breaches. Now, though, a security company has produced a fascinating geographic map that shows you global hacking attempts in real-time — and sure enough, you really can see China waging cyberwar against the US.
In the early 80's my father worked for US Steel at a Plant called South Works (in Chicago) and one day, because of a program by the department of commerce, they brought in a chinese government delegation to come and see the plant for themselves. They took the tour and videotaped it for their own and went back to china. In two years, they built an identical plant that was now competing with SouthWorks. For some reason, in the mid-late 80s, they were invited back and they took the tour again but US steel prevented them from videotaping it at all. They take the tour and yet, 2 years later, they build another plant yet more efficient. US Steel later found out that one of the guests was actually an artist with a photographic memory who drew what he saw. In 1992, The plant shut down because of Insolvency due to Foreign Competition.
Hacking is not new or unique. It takes place every day and to more people than they can imagine and China is one of the worst at it. If you look at most chinese companies, they dont even bother to have an R&D division and as you can see from the map, they are the most active against US targets.....
