Oh, that! That's the same idea actually. I'll try to explain how to quickly do it, if you don't understand even then. I will make a tutorial.
1. Make a text layer
2. Copy that layer
3. Add stroke to the copied layer.
( Make sure that the copied layer is under the original text layer )
4. Rasterize the copied layer with the stroke.
5. Add the image and clipping mask to it, above the copied layer.
