How to use a clipping mask - Ash - 11-10-2013 How to use a clipping mask (Photoshop cs6) Spoiler:
First find a decent background, and open it into photoshop. I chose a flower background. ![]() Next, create a new layer and use the fill bucket tool to fill the new layer white, place it under the background. ![]() Now, use the text tool to create your desired text. ![]() Reorganise the layers like this: ![]() (Move the text layer under the background, and the white layer under the text) Next, right click the background layer, and select Create Clipping Mask. ![]() After that, right click the text layer and select blending options. ![]() Tick Drop Shadow, and use the following settings: ![]() This should give the text a nice outline and make it look more professional. ![]() You can now edit the background and text however you want.
