If you have an actual attention problem and the other suggestions don't help, maybe you can get an Adderall prescription or something.

Exercise. Not just running (although it is good). Anything you'd like.
Works for me.

Not looking to fuck myself up, hahaha. I just want to be able to focus the old fashion way without any drugs.

Eliminate distractions. If you find that you're sleepy, maybe have caffeine.

Read around the subject and learn the beauty of each one, failing that just give up because if you don't love what you're doing to the core what's the fucking point.

I've found that the more time I spend on the internet or watching TV/films, the less I feel motivated. I assume it's due to the way you can be really lazy with it, in the sense, very little effort is required to get what you want from it, whether that be enjoying a good plot in a film or just clicking a few times. So, when it comes round to something requiring both physical and mental effort, it can be really hard to motivate yourself when it's so much easier just not doing so. I hate to be one of those people that says spend less time in doors and all that, but try and find some form of preferably physical activity to do or give yourself a target amount of studying each day. After some time you'll get in the habit of having to focus and then it won't be so hard. I found that going to karate or going to cool places makes me feel more motivated about my life.

Remember, it also takes 2 weeks to get into a habit, so if you can get in the habit for a couple weeks, it won't be an effort to keep focussed as you will automatically do it.

I think that the best is to be motivated, you can watch on Youtube motivational videos for example, there are a lot of things that can help you with this
You've to avoid also love if you aren't in high school (in secondary school or lesser), it'll let you think about your life objectives, faith...etc

Was gonna say nootropics (Adderal, Modafinil, Caffeine, L-Theanine), but since you don't wanna do that:

SLEEP. Otherwise just eliminate distractions.

I thought drugs like Adderall/Caffeine aren't considered nootropics...

It's kind of a difficult area of definition and depends on the person, and how they are used. If as a general energy booster and stimulant, caffeine would generally not be considered a nootropic. However, when used for intent of focus, it is closer to a nootropic.

Then you shift into another gray area which is regulation and whatnot. This also depends on the person, yet generally, Adderall in particular, would not be considered a nootropics because of its legality. Smart Drugs are more of a better umbrella term (which I should've used), as they encompass prescription cognitive enhancers, non-prescription cognitive enhancers, and natural cognitive enhancers.

Now that I have had my two hours of sleep, I can say that to myself, Adderall would not be considered a nootropic because of its legal status, yet caffeine would only when put into combination with another smart drug to create a nootropic blend. An example of this would be something like NOS energy drinks which contain L-Theanine which is considered a nootropic and is said to be found in green tea, which is why green tea provides some caffeine but doesn't make you jittery like regular coffee/tea or energy drinks. Caffeine+L-Theanine = Nootropic. Caffeine = Smart Drug.

(tl;dr): Adderall or Caffeine alone, are to most people, not nootropics. Again, it all depends on the person.

Spoiler:
Felt like I was on modafinil in this post based on my previous experiences.
