Hence my post above.

In general terms, a longer password Isn't always a stronger password. The "complexity" of the password, what's Included and how It's applied, all play a significant role In formulating a secure password.

They are also randomly generated with random letters (both cases), numbers, and symbols. Any password above 12 characters is going to take a long time to crack without the hash.

Provided the algorithm doesn't contain any form of character consistency (sequential string/text, numeric, special characters of the same type), then a given automated tool will certainly suffice.

The randomness and length provides a pretty high level of security.

It generates on your system and is never sent across the internet. That's the code if you want to audit it.

I would say my password is pretty secure, I don't like using password managers or encrypters, so what ill do is just generate a long strand of letters and characters and write them down.

I operate In much the same manner.

Collectively, I have my passwords documented In a couple of books- one stored at my home and the other at my parents house. Both are updated as new accounts come to hand.

So both of you have bad physical security?

I use a simple password here but for important things I used to write a password contain Capital, small, number and !@#$%, Sometimes I write the password and encrypt it then I use it.

Quite the contrary.

It's not "how" my passwords are stored, but "where" they're stored- In physical vaults with all other valuables of high value.
