I'm curious to your guys' ideas of how much money someone must earn in a month to be able to live comfortably.

If your house Is paid off and you live on your own with no attachments, 800$ a month Is more than enough, bills Inclusive.

Once your house Is fully paid, your financial worries are over.

Living expenses and bills are easily paid for. In fact, you could live comfortably on 800$ a month.

I am seeing an absolutely ridiculous amount of people quoting 2-4 thousand dollars just to exist. You guys should cut back on some stuff. I live on less than a thousand a month. Anything over 100k a year and I'm confused as to what the people giving it to me hope for me to accomplish.

$300-$500/month here is enought to get comfortable living. if u can make $3k-$5k here,u will live like king.

It really depends on the country. If you earn as a freelancer online, it is better to leave in a cheap country and earn USD. I lived in Turkey for a while and the exchange rate of the Turkish lira fell several times, so it was enough to earn about 700$ per month there for a comfortable life. Compared to the US it's nothing. You can check the current TRY price on this [link redacted] btw.

You're absolutely right, though. A figure will be based heavily on location. It's entirely dependent on cost of living, and whether that includes paying for rent/mortgage/cars etc. Everyone has different needs.

For myself personally, I would *like* to be earning between £1500-£2000 per month, because I have high living costs. I could survive on less, but it would be survival and not "living". The ability to put a sum of money (min $100 or equivalent) into savings each month, would be my personal benchmark. Again, this depends heavily on location and lifestyle.
