Pushups are a great isometric exercise that mainly develops the chest, the triceps and the shoulders. It's a great alternative for the bench press and the machines in the gym. So how many can you do of them in one set?

I can probably do 20 reps in one go, at maximum. Sometimes i'll do 100 reps at a time, with about a 15 second break in-between every 20 reps. It seems pretty effective in my opinion, but I don't actually do push-ups too often so i'm not entirely sure on how long my breaks last. ; )

OVER 9000. - Sorry had to say it.
OT: I can do 30 reps but I train with doing 20 reps.
