Just to be clear i'm not asking how to dox someone. I'm asking this so I could learn how I could protect myself from doxxing. Just as an example, a popular youtuber named "Dream" got doxxed, he had almost everything leaked from his ssn, number, and address. Even some of his family got doxxed as well. How does someone do this? There was not much public info on him but they somehow managed to get all of this information.

Your information is already out there, in some form. Whether someone takes the time out of their day to compile your information, is another matter. Best thing you can do, is keep your online identity separate from your real identity. Opsec is important, if you're worried about this.

Every person with an online footprint has the potental to be doxxed. The biggest determining factor on weather or not you'll be doxxed is how big that footprint is, and if someone has a reason to dox you, (as stupid as that reason is)

Dream was doxxed partly because of how he kept his OL life so separate from IRL. It was seen as a challenge, most likely, paired with the possibility that he could be blackmailed if he didnt want his dox out there.

Meanwhile as another example, a person who's essentially a quite unknown (3k subs on youtube, 300 twitter followers) and is part of a very specific drama community was doxxed a few days ago. He was doxxed because he'd pissed off the wrong people. There was nothing he could have done at that point, his current username was tied to an old username that was tied to a website with his name on it. To avoid being doxxed he would have had to completely sever all ties between those two accounts, something that he just didnt do.

What's my point? I believe there's two things you can do to avoid being doxxed. The first is to keep all current accounts as seperate from your legal name as possible. There exists databanks and websites and leaks that are probably hosted on this site or others that could give you basically all the information you mentioned about someone just with their name. The second is to avoid being anyone, or doing anything that would inspire someone to dox you. I wholeheartedly believe that the second person I mentioned wouldnt have been doxxed if he'd just stopped posting once he started receiving negative attention, but instead he leaned into it and had actually bragged that he's be impossible to dox. I think in that case, him being doxxed was partially his fault, but I know that's victim blaming.

tldr; anyone can be doxxed. There's almost nothing you can do to stop it once someone has your name. Notoriety or infamy on the internet makes it more likely.

Many users solely focus on their online activity to keep their personal details private and anonymized, however It extends a lot further than that.

Simply SEing one's electric or gas company, will get their family & given name, date of birth, address and phone number. That's a perfect foundation to build an Identity, and use It to verify themselves to obtain further details from other entities.

Wow thanks you guys for all the info, I never knew almost all of your information could be found online. It's actually kind of scary how easily accessible this info is. Really makes you think if you are truly anonymous online.

Do remember that IRL circumstances Is just as significant. That Is, just because you're not connected to the net nor have ever shared any Information online, by no means are your personal credentials (or otherwise) safe & secure.
