RE: How can i immigrate to US? #11
As some other users have probably already told you on this thread, the US is very particular on giving outsiders citizenship. Marriage is a popular way of getting it as well as applying for it(low chance, but possible), but yeah that’s about it mostly when it comes to the popular methods. Getting a job over in the states, spending some years in the US, and a clean criminal record will raise the chances of you getting citizenship when applying for it. Wish you the best of luck

Why was your application declined?
No, i wasn`t declined , i just applied for DV lottery program, i wasn`t selected to process further. (They select 120k people every year to enter into process. If you are selected into first place you are most likely to get green card if you don t have criminal background)

If you don't, you risk being banned from the country. There is also the possibility of H1 visas (for specialized work) or crossing over from a neighboring country. Neither of these establish permanent residency.

High stakes. If caught, you're likely to be removed and banned from re-entry.
Thanks for your message. With the first visa`s option you don t get work permit... so that mean you can only be there as an visitor. And about H1 i`m year 3/4 in electrical engineer and computer science university, do i qualify for H1 ?

I`m 21, student in electrical engineering and computer science
Last year of your program I'm guessing?
US is notorious for scholarships esp. at the grad level from my understanding. It might be your best bet.

There's is the mindset from the US that everyone thinks the rest of the world is gasping to emigrate there. While there will be some people (like the OP), there are plenty of populations, especially in Western cultures, that couldn't be less interested. I certainly wouldn't have been interested in it if I hadn't met Oni.

I`m interested in immigrating in USA especially, but i like Nord American Country`s in general, i feel like they`re on the same mindset more or less. What`s the biggest difference between USA and Canada, beside climate. You were born in Canada, i guess, but why should i choose Canada over USA ?

Get an education, or work VISA, then just follow the process outlined. It's going to take 5 years to get naturalized anyways. Might as well go legit.

MUCH easier said than done. You can't just "get a work visa". H1B visas are extremely difficult to get. You need to be what they call "an alien with extraordinary ability" or very specialised skills that American applicants for the same job don't have.

Education only allows you to enter the lottery program. Your chances of getting in on that should be indicated by they fact it's called "lottery".

Legit, the easiest way is to get married. Even then, you have to go through massive expense and prove it's not a sham marriage.

Like DV lottery, merry a us citizen, family reunion, political asylum  but i think that`s it and i only qualify for DV lottery but is something that i cannot control(I`m in NATO Europe state so i don t think i qualify for asylum. i have wife... and no familly in usa)... i apply already for one time without success. My question is if there is any  other legal steps to get the permanent residency. Or if i go there illegal is any chance that i can get papers( real one not fake ones). I live in a predominantly black and Hispanic neighborhood, which is honestly an understatement because you do not see anyone else from any other races in my school or county in general.

With that being said, a good majority of the Hispanics that live around me are actually illegal, and long story short, they crossed the border by being smuggled by someone that knew a workaround in the border (also known as a coyote.) Just to let you know living an illegal life in the US is not easy, finding a job in general will be a pain, and a childhood friend of mine actually has to have a fake ID in order to work a job.

I immigrated from the US at a young age through the legal process and I only received full citizenship a couple of years back. I suggest going through the legal way if you are in no danger, but we all have our own different situations. It is to be noted that a lot of people that come to the US are escaping danger from their home countries, in the case of my neighbor from El Salvador. Don't try to find any workarounds, chances are it will bite you back in the future.
