Like I said, it is not your demeanor that is monitored by the detector, it dosent matter if you were "calm" or not, subconsciously your heart rate would increase because of the lie you are telling, added to the stress of who you are lying to, and the possible consequences of your actions, and you have the perfect signals that would be picked up by the lie detector.

Lie detectors are infact not a legal way if telling you are lying an many countries. They are just a tool used so the law can just say 'look the machine says you not telling us the truth' and get you too fess up. The results are not court admitable evidence. Your pressured confession is.... Smile
