How are you spending Christmas #1
For those of you who celebrate Christmas (or any other holiday at this time of year), how will you be spending it?

In the UK, some areas have been banned from any and all household mixing on and around Christmas Day. While others may only have limited mixing in Christmas Day itself. This is due to rises in case counts and the new super infectious strain of the virus recently identified in the country.

As a result, only my household will spend Christmas Day together. I'm actually quite excited about this. Often, this time of year is full of embarrassing family arguments, and the current restrictions will give us a more relaxing Christmas. However, I am missing all those who I can't see or visit.

What about you? How will your Christmas be different, if at all?

Those that live further apart or are in lockdown, might have trouble seeing their friends or family. However, it's a good time to keep those close to you in your thoughts and prayers. Things will get better.

Very well said actually! It's also easy to forget we are blessed with the internet and five different ways to contact people long distance.

Absolutely.

Although It's obviously not the same, contact via video communication Is the closest you can get to physically being together.

I'll be at home with my core family members this year. Most of my family is at a higher risk to Covid, and the ones who aren't have their own plans.

But to be honest it doesn't really feel like Christmas to me. I know its the holidays, but no matter what it just doesn't feel like Christmas. Time moves too fast nowadays.

Doesn't feel like Christmas because if covid-19 or because it feels too soon to be Christmas?

I totally agree.

It's going to be Christmas Eve soon, and It still hasn't hit me. I think the majority of It, has to do with reorganizing ourselves- both physically & mentally due to the COVID-19 situation.
