The Doctors said something very similar to that.

I know, the appendix serves no purpose and the bad thing Is, the Initial symptoms are not always consistent with appendicitis, so you'd probably never know you have It until the pain becomes unbearable. It's not always the case, but It does happen.

Accurate. Had to go to hospital 3 times over my appendix, was only the third time they were thinking of appendix.

Probably doesn't help it was shortly after I was hit by a car, though.

You got hit by a car while your appendix was bursting? Shit.

You were hit by a car after it bursted?

Ouch.

Goodness me, as If the appendix wasn't bad enough, the car had to add to the equation.

As the cliche says, "things happen In threes". I do hope nothing else happened to you.

They suggested it was the cause of it. I had issues with my appendix before this, but it resolved itself after a few hours.

Ouch.

I was hit by a car before it had happened.

Well, a while after I caught three different types of mononucleosis somehow.
So I guess that would count.

& Yes, I was hit by a van going 40 in a 35.

One of those kinds, company vehicle.

Was on my bicycle in a turn lane, signalling to turn left, waiting on traffic on the other side, so my arm was out. Somehow, even though he hit me head on, my bike pushed me to his right side, so I didn't go straight under, but my arm went under his van, and since he had slammed on the brakes, caught between the road and his tire.

Have a nasty scar from the massive roadburn.

Also had rubber from his tire embedded in my arm for a while.

Didn't break anything though.

But my stomach area was slammed straight into the handlebars, which is why they suggested that the accident may have contributed to it squishing.

Yes, I believe that certainly counts.

You are so lucky to only sustain minor Injuries. As we both know, It could've been a lot worse.

That's the thing with motorists, the majority (not all, there are some who are quite vigilant) don't look out for bicycles or motor cycles, and even that 5MPH speed Increase In your case, can cause severe Injuries. For fitness purposes, I'd love to travel to and from work on a bicycle, but In my locality due to carelessness from motorists, I'd probably get killed.

The main thing Is, you came out of It with minor Injuries and all Is fine.

Funnily enough, wasn't able to get the guy to pay for medical bills because the moron cop who was at the scene decided to take a statement from me before I was checked out by the paramedic for shock, which would make the statement invalid in the first place, and since I was in shock, my natural reaction is to blame myself for everything that happens to me.

So they considered the accident my fault.
