Regarding of how I will execute this, you'll just have to trust it with me and my crew. We'll make it both interesting and focusing on technical stuff, but like I said, it's purely my business. Thanks again though,! [/i]

Well in my opinion that will be boring, but good luck.

Withholding your ideas from criticism is how they fail.

Thanks a lot for supporting! Of course I'll share it here when it's done! Biggrin
Actually, there's still a lot to cover, especially the battle scenes.

For the computer part of the film maybe use this.

Look for dialogs for the actor HERE.

Maybe this helps too? XD http://www.dourish.com/goodies/jargon.html

So here's my problem with this idea.

Like you said, MARC II is in the same room as Mufti. That means Mufti has physical access to the machine MARC II lives on. If you have physical access to a box, you already own that box. Literally all Mufti has to do is unplug the machine, crisis averted, world saved. Unplug the machine, cut the power cord, whatever it takes, no "hacking" required.

And that is how I would handle the situation, because not all "hacking" is technical. It's partially thinking about a problem at all angles to find the solution.

Not trying to shit on your parade, it just seems like you're trying to keep things "real" while not entirely understanding the "realistic" situation.

That video actually inspired me visually, thanks!
Although I can't really make it as the 'computer part', since it is the central part of the film. Much like a fight is to a fighting movie. So I need real references instead of 'movie-ish' hacking.
The dialogues too are going to be natural. I won't use fancy hacking terms if it is unnecessary.
But thanks anyway!

That was indeed a huge plothole, and I'm fully aware of it since the beginning. However, Mufti shouldn't be able to mess with the hardware so that the plot can go on. Sadly, to this point I still have no rational reasons why this can happen (at first I reasoned that Mufti will get electrocuted if he touches the power cord, but it sounds too ridiculous). I am open to suggestions about this plothole, so if you have an idea please do tell me.

Tesla-esque power over-the-air. Reinforced steel casing with specialty screws that he can't open. Tada. Plot hole fixed. Your welcome. Make it futuristic-ish and nobody can really question it.

Hmm... I can't really go with that because 1) he just accessed it himself earlier in the film and 2) it takes place in the present time. I just discussed this with my friend and he fixed it though.

UPDATE

I discussed this matter with another friend of mine who knows better than the one I discussed this with before. He didn't progress the plot, but instead he reviewed the battle I've made before.

And the first thing he reviewed was : Mufti shouldn't be on the same room with MARC II. That is the only way the hacking battle can happen.

And then both Mufti and MARC II won't use Windows. They'll use a fictional OS, and the battle will be shown graphically so even people who don't know what a computer is can enjoy it.

Last one, the battle scene itself. He decided to restart everything from scratch. This is what he came up with :
-Mufti turned on his laptop and cut the WiFi's Internet, then he closed ports.
-MARC II turns on Internet and kills Mufti's IP.
-Mufti tried to reconnect, but the password has been changed. He then connected as a guest.
-Mufti decrypts the router, MARC II detects him, and so Mufti failed.
-Mufti uses proxy servers to buy time. MARC II falls for this and tracks through the proxies, while Mufti cracks the router's password.
-Mufti cracked the password, and at the same time MARC II finally detects Mufti's IP through all the proxies.
-Mufti uploads a worm to MARC II, and turns out he was hit by a booby trap, making his laptop reboot.
-MARC II accesses virtual router.
-Mufti connects to the router.
-Internet connection turned off.

And that was the end of session 1 of the first battle. Disclaimer : I don't really understand how any of this can be done, I just trusted my friend.

Then they started taunting each other.

While taunting, Mufti's laptop's anti-virus appeared with an alert, and crashes immediately. He then realized MARC II was uploading viruses to his open ports, so he closed all of them. Session 2 of the battle then started.

And that was all I got so far with my friend. If any of you got some suggestions, I would gladly listen. Or if you detect some kind of plothole, let me know. I would be happy to receive your opinion on this.
