We respect every new member regardless of the time they have spent here since we were once at that place too.

Congratulations on being accepted into the University!

I asked your Gender just for one reason and that would be, "Most forums are Male dominated which I feel very awkward and so I really really encourage girls to take part too, this is the case in my real life too. I help them with CS stuffs as much as possible. A lot of guys and even some of friends think that girls are not suitable for CS stuffs which pisses me like hell, I always wanna prove them wrong. Therefore, its great to have you here Smile"

Seriously, Are you an introvert ?

Thats quite new in my experience, In IRL most of the girls are very very extrovert, which gave me a different experience about them (Since I am a hardcore introvert)

Welcome again and I don't know what else to say, I am very bad when it comes to salutations.

Introversion vs extraversion are no gender specific traits. I am introverted too.
It is more probable that you note more extraverts, because they draw more attention and go out more often.

Definitely right.

I had a german literature forum and I was active there as administrator, author (mainly shortstories) and critic. But now I am only reading literature. My interests changed.

Art: I painted with acrylics and I drew pencil portraits.
I was also active in community theater.
I don't do this anymore since I have my little son. Too time consuming. I wish I had the time to, but I will have to wait. Other things have higher priority.

What is it you do regarding literature and arts?

I understand and thank you! What you said is true and I truly appreciate your intention so keep it on. In my view, the occurrence you mentioned is a particularly societal problem, which you can find in real life as well as in the online world. Although most girls really aren't interested in - for instance - programming, many are or would be, but there's a social wall around them with a huge label "That's not a girlish thing." so they don't even give it a true try even if they have talent. On the one hand, the label is false. On the other hand, the wall is real and the solution necessitates open-mind, sympathy and understanding. My situation in the high school student group I mentioned is a good example where I felt like an alien in the male dominated community. People need to understand the label is fake and we can demolish the unfair wall together. We need more people with good intentions like your one and more girls who are not afraid to accept the fact they can be good programmers too.

Well said and according to some articles there are more extraverts in the human population than introverts. In addition, introverts may look like extraverts somewhile even though they still need time away from the crowd to recharge their batteries. For instance, in spite of the fact that I'm said to be a gifted performer with excellent communication skills, I need time to be alone and gain energy. Meditation is an effective way to do it, which I recommend not only for introverts

Wow and congratulations :Thumbs-Up:! I too was thinking of participating in our community theater, but I had things with higher priority to do and honestly speaking I was afraid of it. What do you mean under "was also active" ? Did you play parts too?

You know, my relationship with literature (and art) roots in writing: poetry and prose writing and reading alot including belles-lettres. This is an area where I can work confidently in and are appreciated in real life too. I had a related forum as well for 1-1,5 year(s), but it died out due to inactivity. Then I had a blog, which was hibernated because of lack of time. However, I saved my writings and still write in case I have some extra time so it's not excluded that I'll re-start it later.

I tried drawing, but except some well-edited technical drawings I could never put onto the paper what in my head was with pencil so I stopped with it. Painting is an other topic because I didn't like it first since in school we always had an exact task to realise and because of a long medical treatment in the past my hands rather quake so all my pictures became big mess-ups that my teachers obviously didn't appreciate well and it took my confidence of experimenting with it at home. However, it happened years ago and maybe I should give it a go again, but I'm not sure. What is your advice?

Sorry for my late reply, I was pretty busy (and actually still am, so sorry for future late replies as well)

I did play parts in theater. I have been a member of a community theater group for about 9 years.

My opinion about your painting question: Painting is much more than being able to paint the finest details. So if you are still suffering from shaking hands, this doesn't have to hold you back from painting. Firstly there is more than realistic art. You can do paintings that are large and live mostly from color and shapes. You probably can't create detailed, realistic portraits with your shaking hands, but you could try to use other body parts if that's any option (?). Or get creative in any other way, creative about how to achieve things. The best part about arts is that you have a lot of freedom in how you do it (sometimes the how is what makes a painting interesting).
So my opinion: If you think you might enjoy painting once you overcame the past experiences, you should give it a try.
Otherwise it is fine as well if you just keep to the kinds of arts you already enjoy doing.

Before complaining about a particular community of people, why don't you try and improve your own writing skills ?

baddset :- should be baddest

You are using a superlative adjective. In fact baddest is used by those who have very poor English grammar skills.

Also you tried to say that "Indians have got the worst accent for English"

baddest should not have been used here instead use "worst"

Also let me tell you Mr. Awesome Grammar Nazi that 'baddest' and 'worst' are complete opposite.

"baddest" and "worst" are complete opposites, despite the fact that at first glance, they appear to be synonyms.

baddest

Supreme in status or standing. The very best at something. The Ultimate Champion or Warrior. Ultimate Title or Crown. The Highest Honor. The Greatest.

Have a look here :- http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Baddest

You used shorter words like 'ur', is this defined somewhere in English Language, we are here discuss things and this is neither IRC nor chat box where you write such short mnemonic words.

"I must sat ur accent" ---> You tried to say "I must say your accent", if you are good with English then why did you write such crap here ?

Before saying anything negative for some community whoever it maybe, take a note whether you are pure or not. Also English is not everyone's mother tongue.

Next time if I see you doing something like this I will straight away ban you for a week.

It's no problem. I am busy too so I totally can understand if you would like or have to care of other important things first and as you mentioned before "Forums have the advantage that you can take your time until you answer." It's true and an advantage that you have right to use for example when you have no time to answer as soon as you read something.

Take my acknowledgement please for your great experience in playacting. In my view, playacting is a complex form of art that necessitates numerous skills and much practise, but I think it's fantastic when you can feel your part with full of your body, mind and soul.

Thank you for your advice, @Deque ! Since I am still suffering from shaking hands, realistic painting probably wouldn't please me, but I agree that painting is much more. Actually, I have a friend who likes painting and when we discussed the topic and she said that her hobby is painting, I thought she must have had very good hands so I imagined detailed, realistic portraits, still life-s and so on. However, when she first shew me her work, I astonished because it was not only not very detailed and realistic, but was an abstract painting with intensive colours, had rough-and-tumble shapes and still on the whole it looked fantastic . It happened years ago and in that time I hadn't overcome my past experiences yet. This event implanted a seed somewhere in my mind, though, which seems to have grown strong enough. If I don't enjoy it, I still will stick to the arts that I am doing at the moment, but I think it's time to try painting again

I believe, it also matters how much the accent you are listening to differs from your own accent. For example, I heard other strong accents too, but noticed that I could more easily understand accents that were similar to my own accent like Finnish. Furthermore, the bearing of accents depends on the communication's participants since the more practised you are in a language, the more easily you can understand other accents as well and by much practise you too can make yourself understood better.
