Isn't freelancing risky at the start. Don't you have to at least be getting a decent pay from it before being comfortable doing freelancing?
In my opinion freelancing is always risky. You may be having a steady flow of work now but in a years time you may have nothing.

Depends if you've already got experience, or if you're just doing it as an investment into the future where you hope you'll get more money after you've done some work
I gotta say, I always thought it was risky, I'd only attempt it if I had a bit of money to keep me going if I had a slow start.
