Just to clarify most routers will offer TKIP+AES when using WPA2

I agree but not of all...
First of all maybe you have the best Router in the world but you are still vulnerable.
If you have windows XP you PC/laptop from the boot sends beacon frames and search for your PN(Preffered network list).
You must disable your card if you aren't using.Your WPA/WPA2/WEP can crack even with your CLIENT!!
MAC filtering isn't secure
Hidding SSID isn't secure
Low WiFi Strength and Proximity isn't secure because if someone has a very strong signal then after your deauthentication you pc connects to his AP automatically.
Strong Encryption even enterprise networks can crack.
Very strong Password with WPA2 and keep your eyes open.
These is my opinion.
