Guy has two majors #1
Why would someone major in two subjects like Philosophy and Psychology ?
An exercise in motive.

Why not?

I know quite a few people who have or are working on double-majors.

If someone is able to deal with all the work and loves those 2 subjects, than why not?

Some people are in it for the money, others aren't. I knew someone that dual majored (more intensive majors) and took 20 credit hours a semester.

This and some people just strive to be an intellectual, most just for the stigma / social status

If they've got the cash sitting there and they're very interested in philosophy/psychology, who's anyone to judge? It might not be the wisest decision if they're in need of money. Other majors might offer better pay, but if they aren't interested there's no point in forcing them. There's no debating that philosophy/psychology pay less than others.

What you've mentioned (Philosophy and Psychology) are not a carbon copy of each other. They do differ.

Psychology Is about all human "behavior", mentally. Philosophy Is more so understanding the actuality of human life. To answer your question, the "career path" may differ on any given two majors. I'm not saying It will, but It "may" differ.

What I get is that the guy is smart, intelligent, meticulous and has a thrust for knowledge. Also people who study psy are paranoid.

-snip-

That's just because they didn't major in martian psychology. It would be a different story if they'd had. Wink2
