They are good to have, but there's no reason you should have one unless you're 18 or older.

Also, something that needs to be mentioned in this thread: always treat a gun like its loaded, whether it's empty or whatever, this should be second nature to a gun owner.

I think it'd be common sense if you own a gun to not be an idiot with it, but I guess some people need that extra reminder.
