Nice, it must have been rooted or set usb debugging on for this method? or works in a 'common & standard' way?

no root is required . yes enable usb debugging at least so adb can perform well but you can try without that also.

I have try and it works on one of my phone without debugging and the other with debugging i will post the models below

Results:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 (Unlocked with debugging)
Huawei P30 (Unlocked without debugging)

i don't know if it will universally work but this was the result of my test, good stuff as ever dude!

I've unlocked bypassing everything with an apk found on the internet as long as I can get the traffic flow going i can work with almost anything
Try using an apk to unlock the device you're working with is there a way to get to the internet on it unless you just do it from the command line
