In my home country (UK), the military are being used to; build hospitals, transport PPE, drive oxygen tankers, transport medical staff to the Falklands, operate recovery centres, support our ambulance services, test NHS staff and provide medical personnel support for NHS nightingale. In future they will be operating mobile testing units.

In my opinion, that is how the military should be involved. Not as a police force.

I'm lucky to live where I do, and I know my opinions are shaped by that, but I wholeheartedly disagree with this sort of tactic. Our police are handing out fines. They will arrest someone if they start abusing the police (as they would anyway), but there shouldn't be any unwarranted violence or excessive punishments.

Why can't your police force handle this without the military? What kind of punishments are they giving in the Philippines, may I ask?

You bet and one of the main problems as well is that the most of the orders are coming from the President himself (he's like much of Trump but not in all ways). Since our President is an enabler of such acts, Police and Military force approach is always about force, there was an instance (a few days ago) wherein they could have simply neutralize the target without using lethal force, but instead they shot him dead, the narrative was he was carrying a gun, but on the video evidence there was no gun that was found on the scene and the shooter picked up the bag, later that day, they claimed that the man is carrying a gun.

There's all sorts (from making them stay at one place with social distancing for hours up to arresting right away due to minor violations), although not everyone in the Police force or Military is the same (I always believe that there's odd ones always).

This is a depressing truth. We were recently watching a TV series in the UK called Hospital (I think) which brings the reality of the situation back to you. As opposed to hearing the numbers and stories from friends. It really shows what's going on, and the operating challenges within the hospitals affected.

I think the morgue situation is the saddest part.

yes ... as they cannot find any cure till now ...they clear mention we have to live like this with this virus until vaccine is ready. i think it will take 2 year ....to develop vaccine .

That's odd, since several nations are pretty certain of a vaccine by the end of this year. Are you sure the video you watched was legitimate?
