The "keylogger" is a internet explorer feature that send your words to bing as you type in your task/search bar on the top of Edge and IE in order to give you recommendations on where to go exactly like google is doing with their search engine and web browser. This can all be disabled. There is no reason why you would leave Windows to a inferior (unless you do more complicated tasks like server hosting or just don't play vidya ever) OS just yet.

There has been evidence that disabling all of the features and blocking ms at system level, it still makes a call to Microsoft and receives a reply, and the only way to avoid this would be to spoof the server and the response.

While we're on the topic of Windows 10, I just want to point out that the Wifi Sense, one of the more infamous features is one of my favorite feature yet. I haven't had to look at my receipt in order to hop on to a restaurant or kiosk Wifi ever since I installed Windows 10. I also don't have to give people coming by my house the wifi password anymore. This is great, and although I can see this being kind of an issue in places where you need a employee ID to sign in and it automatically shares it to all your skype friends, you do have to click two extra options in order to enable it which is also great. Glory to our Microsoftian overlords.

Sharing WiFi passwords is the least of your concerns. They have given themselves the right to look through your "private" communications, sync encryption recovery keys, and basically do anything they deem appropriate to "ensure security".

Eh, in my opinion your DCHP server (most likely router) should be dealing with your WiFi. I've got a guest network setup with a simple 1 word passphrase. Network is limited in terms of access, speed, and everything is logged for a month.

Unless they delete all of my files dues to some spooky mistype coding error, I don't really care.

Run something like peerblock and you can see every time Windows pings home. They do more than keylog the browser, we don't even know about the full extent of this mass surveillance but they include taking screenshots every time you install something and keylogging everything you type in the start menu (when you search for files, etc). You are surrendering your privacy to a 3rd party company that uses you to make money. Hurr durr tinfoil hat but someone out there knows and has access to everything you've ever done and how can you think that it will never be used against you in any way?

Its not really keylogging in the malicious sense if they're sending it to fucking bing <3, the most innocent and qt search engine in history, in order to get you news and search results relating to your searches. As for the screenshot thing, I've personally never read into this, though I don't recall seeing anything important about it in the when I was reading the EULA.
